LIFE
(Learning Institute For Enrichment) & Discovery strives to
develop a unique opportunity for life enrichment.
Courses will be diverse for personal growth and development,
academic acceleration, and life skills enrichment. The basic
philosophy is to bring people together with a passion to
share and to learn in an optimal setting. The
Institute will create a dynamic, cost effective, and fun
learning entity for like-mind individuals who love sharing
and learning.

Chinese Wonderland (2 ½ - 4 yrs.)
Parent and Child learn
Chinese together through music, songs, stories, movement,
and games. A fun-filled introduction guides both parents
and children to explore Chinese language and culture.

Chinese Paradise (k –
12th grade after school
program)
A unique program is
specifically designed for after school. They will enjoy
learning the Chinese language through conversations songs,
stories, practicing Chinese characters writing through
calligraphy, exploring Chinese culture through holiday
traditions, food, games and crafts. Simplified Chinese and
Pinyin system lead children to start a journey of Chinese
culture. Two different classes meet elementary, and secondary
school students’ abilities, skills, and interests. Please call

Creative
Writing Class (5th grade and up)
This writing course will
focus on advanced rhetoric and composition. Students will
learn effective strategies for writing various types of
essays and narratives suitable for high school courses.
There is also a creative writing element in the course
designed to guide students in infusing their compositions
with voice and style. Students will use self-generated
topics for most of their writings. I also use field trips,
music, hands-on materials, videos, and other multi-media to
inspire and generate topics and examples of writing. Field
trips will be announced and will center around the Frederick
and Washington County areas.
SPECIAL PROGRAMS
Joy
of Chinese Tea

The class will taste a variety of Chinese
teas and be acquainted with their origins, distinct
characteristics and health benefits. Demonstration includes
proper way of tea preparation and serving.
