An invitation from the planning committee of the Lunar New Year, 2008

Dear friends and colleagues,
Greetings!

As we are approaching the end of 2007, we have been busy in planning yet another Lunar New Year for 2008.

We cordially invite you to participate in the upcoming “Asian Spring – A New Year Celebration!” There will be a FREE Kick Off event on February, 16th, 2008 at the FSK Mall, from 2:00 – 4:00pm. A week later, there will be a Lunar New Year Show on February 17th 2007 at the Governor Thomas Johnson High School from 6:00 to 8:30 PM. Admission is $6.00 per person, (age 4 and up).

Life and Discovery is a non-profit 501 C3 organization. It has been actively developing educational programs to promote cultural diversity, academic and personal enrichment. The goal is to improve quality of life through various education programs. Our first two Lunar New Year celebrations were well received in 2005 and 2006, gathering over 3,000 people. It was wonderful in sharing the underlying message of peace and harmony. Due to their astounding success, we anticipate that it will be another great turnout for 2007. Thus far, we have put together multicultural performances from all over Asia. There will be local artists as well as professional groups from Washington, D. C. and Annapolis. Imagine that everyone can enjoy so many different Asian performances right here in Frederick County without the travel; this will definitely be a great attraction for the community. Last two years, we have had visitors from our neighboring counties as well.

However, programs like these would not be possible without the support from you. We truly appreciate your help, which in turn, will improve our overall cultural diversity and experiences. Thank you in advance for your support in bringing these events to our community.
